Yao’s practice focuses on insurance litigation and counseling insurers on coverage matters.
Yao earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 2025, where she served as an Article Editor of the UC Davis Law Review. She also externed for the Honorable Susan Illston of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
Prior to law school, Yao earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
